10 Jul Littler and Fannin in Spa Brexit

Following the accident at the recent Silverstone 500 where a problem with the race trailer resulted in significant damage to the PFL Motorsport Aston Martin Vantage the team have taken the decision to withdraw from the Spa round of the British GT Championship scheduled for 7th and 8th June.

The incident after the race as the team were packing away caused injury to 3 technicians as well as the car and the subsequent insurance claim has delayed their preparation for the Spa event.

‘We had planned on leaving this Sunday to make a pre event test but although the guys have worked hard to get the car repaired unfortunately time has just run out on us’ said Team Manager Paul Risbridger.

Driver Pete Littler had driven once at Spa and was looking forward to the experience of competing on one of the world’s most iconic circuits in their GT3 car “It is a pity but the team has set itself high professional standards in its first year and should not compromise on the preparation needed for this event both on safety and performance grounds.  Obviously after our strong run in the last round where the PFL Aston was running as high as 4th during the race we are all keen to carry the momentum forward to the Belgian event but we will now refocus and be fully prepared for the next event’

This focus now sees the team planning for a strong return at the penultimate round of the championship at Snetterton on August 6th and 7th.
