Paxton Celebrate 30 Years in the Security Industry

Paxton celebrate 30 years in the security industry with successful preview of building intelligence system, net10 at IFSEC International 2015

IFSEC 2015 was a resounding success for Paxton which celebrated a significant 30 years in the security industry at the show. Exclusives included two product previews; the unveiling of its new fully integrated building intelligence system, net10, and an upgrade to the Net2 Entry panels, Paxton’s existing door entry solution.

The show was bustling with security industry professionals wanting to learn about the latest in innovation from leading manufacturers, distributors and suppliers. Paxton’s stand was busy for all three days with hundreds of customer and installer meetings taking place, and visitors queuing to take part in net10 and Net2 product demonstrations with the company’s international team of industry experts.

The preview of Paxton’s new fully integrated building intelligence system, net10, was an unmitigated success, with more than 300 companies registering to attend net10 training sessions in the coming months.

net10 delivers out of the box access control, IP video management and building automation to streamline the management of buildings. Using conventional RFID tokens or Bluetooth Smart devices, the system offers powerful tools allowing specific permissions for individuals and groups of people. It works in conjunction with all types of IP cameras in order to facilitate live viewing and the recording of video footage.  It also interfaces with existing building infrastructure for a high level of control over lighting, heating, air conditioning, intruder and fire alarms, ensuring maximum efficiency and bolstering cost and time savings.

Chris Newton of Sygma Security Systems Ltd said, “Paxton’s new product, net10 looks like being a runaway success and was well demonstrated by the team at the show.”

Paxton also introduced the next generation of Net2 Entry panels, offering enhanced door entry functionality for versatile security and building management.  The new panels will be available in two variations, Standard and Vandal Resistant and both feature MIFARE® technology, a new intuitive panel interface and pan/tilt camera functionality.

Continuing the theme of innovation Chief Executive of the Paxton Group, Adam Stroud discussed changes to the technology landscape during a talk at the Security Solutions Theatre at 12pm on the second day of the show. He explored how the widespread use of smart mobile devices, the rise of the Internet of Things and inter-connectivity of systems within buildings is affecting the security industry.

The company hosted an on-stand party on the Wednesday evening to celebrate turning 30 and to say thank you to its installers and customers for their continued support. Guests enjoyed drinks, canapés and raised a toast to the next 30 years of the company following a short speech by Adam Stroud.
