Between 18th and 20th September 2018, this year’s Propak West Africa attracted a record-breaking 4,265 attendees – up by 31% from 2017. The show brought together industry professionals from across the packaging, plastics, processing and printing supply chains in the largest edition of the show to date, with a brand new third hall.
Positioning itself as a truly international event, the exhibition attracted visitors from 32 different countries, the top five of which included Nigeria, Benin, Cameroon, Senegal, South Africa and Togo.
The exhibition was opened by Mr Hakeem O. Adeniji, Director of Commerce for Lagos State Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Representing the Lagos State Governor on Tuesday 18th September, who briefly took to the stage to endorse the exhibition; “I commend the leadership of Propak West Africa for this initiative aimed at providing a unique platform to showcase various innovative products from the industry.”
Over the three-day exhibition and conference, 141 exhibitors showcased live demonstrations of cutting-edge machinery, the likes of which hadn’t been showcased at Propak West Africa before. Most notably the two largest machines on display, Neofyton’s all electric ENGEL (E-MOTION) machine and the MEPER Extrusion Blow-Molding machine both sold to Nigerian companies during the show.
One exhibitor commented, “Propak West Africa is a great platform that is great for launching new products, networking and sales also. We met new and exciting clients and we made huge sales also. We look forward to the next.” Sudhansu Jamkar, Managing Director, Aayra International Ltd.
