Windows Doors and Façades 2019 set to welcome 11,000, as Middle East market soars

rojects in the windows and facades industry across the GCC are now estimated to be worth USD 2.7 trillion, according to a recent MEED Projects report.

As the value of construction opportunities soars, over 11,000 industry professionals are anticipated to meet this September for the fifth edition of Windows Doors and Facades (WDF) at the Dubai World Trade Centre.

The project participant numbers for 2019 build on the success of the 2018 event, where more than 120 exhibiting companies launched innovative products in the UAE market to over 6,000 visitors. Participants signed deals for several million dollars across the three days of last year’s show.

Muhammed Kazi, Portfolio Event Director at dmg events, says: “The demand for green buildings, solar technologies, and ecofriendly facades innovations for both new and retrofit projects in the Middle East are opening a wealth of opportunities to both local and international manufacturers across the glass, windows, doors and facades industries.”

He adds: “In 2019, WDF will provide industry professionals a unique platform to source innovative solutions from around the world, discover the latest technologies, network and learn.”

Details of this year’s event are already emerging, with leading brands including Schuco, Gutmann, Orgadata, Elumatec, Reynaers, SaintGobain Vetrotech, Hueck, Emmegi, and MJ Metal having confirmed their participation at WDF.

Alongside the event is an impressive three-day education programme, including “The Future of Facades Summit”, a strategic-level conference looking at inspiring change and embracing innovation.

The region’s largest glass event, Gulf Glass, will also take place in the same venue. The concurrent events together provide a chance for over 300 top brands to exhibit their industry-leading products.

The global facades market is expected to grow to US$ 197.3 billion by 2025 from US$ 165.3 billion in 2017. With a steady pipeline of new construction projects, the Middle East market is performing particularly well.
