SAFR has announced a significant development with the launch of a cloud integration for its SAFR SCAN facial authentication devices in conjunction with Genetec™ Security Centre Software as a Service (SaaS).
This solution promises a seamless, server-less experience in access control, dramatically reducing hardware costs and enhancing security measures.
With the new integration, organisations can benefit from streamlined employee enrolment processes, enabling rapid and privacy-focused facial authentication while managing access control directly from the cloud. This means no on-premises servers or local software installations are necessary, ushering in a new era of efficiency and reliability in security management.
The collaboration allows companies to eliminate local infrastructure requirements, automate identity management for employees, and enhance security with advanced facial recognition technology, all while leveraging ONVIF-compatible video cameras for easy integration with existing video management systems.
According to John Cassise, Chief Product Officer at SAFR, businesses are increasingly seeking streamlined, secure access solutions, and this integration provides just that by cutting costs and improving user experiences.
This integration aims to offer ideal solutions for multi-site enterprises, educational institutions, critical infrastructure facilities, and retail chains, facilitating a shift towards cloud-first security models and integration is set to launch in October 2026, with demonstrations available at GSX booth 1262 in New Orleans from 29 September to 1 October.
