The engine of a passenger plane caught fire after landing at Antalya Airport in southern Turkey on Sunday, according to a statement from the Turkish transport ministry.

The ministry announced that landings at the airport were suspended until 3 a.m. local time while authorities towed the plane away from the runway. All 89 passengers and six crew members were safely evacuated from the aircraft.

A video shared on social media by the Airport Haber news website showed emergency units responding to the fire, with flames and smoke coming from the aircraft’s engine.

Additional videos released by the transport ministry revealed the plane surrounded by fire-extinguishing foam, as firefighters continued to spray the left-side engine to cool it down.

According to the Antalya Airport website, the plane landed at 6:25 pm GMT.
