African travel show to increase security measures

Durban, the leading destination for festivals and events in Africa, has increased security measures for the Africa’s Travel Indaba 2024 event.

The convention centre in Durban is among the key areas where security measures have been beefed up.

The move is aimed at ensuring the safety of tourists, especially in popular tourist spots.

The city is currently hosting 75 delegates from the UK to attend the Indaba, with 35 of them hosted by South African Tourism.

To assist visitors, ambassadors have been deployed to provide information and directions to attendees.

According to Major Councillor Mxolisi Kaunda, the city is committed to ensuring visitors’ satisfaction during their stay. He stated that the event is a catalyst for transformative growth and connectivity.

South Africa Tourism has encouraged delegates to contribute to the dialogue and share their perspectives on the evolution of African tourism. With Indaba 2024, the country aims to promote African tourism and create an international platform for tourism stakeholders to share ideas and innovations.
