21 Jun Chad ammunition explosion leads to Presidential intervention

A series of explosions at the main military ammunition location in Chad killed an undisclosed amount of people and led the President to call for investigations into the cause.

Officials in Chad have opened investigations into the explosion in the capital N’Djamena as ongoing efforts to put out the blaze continue.

Chad State TV reported that President Mahamat Idriss Deby ordered firefighters and military personnel to ensure the safety of civilians.

The government has since urged people to remain calm.
