Edge AI is transforming the security landscape by enabling systems to shift from reactive to proactive approaches. This development allows organisations to address incidents before they escalate, enhancing safety and operational efficiency.

However, deploying AI technology must balance innovation with responsibility, ensuring ethical use, privacy, and transparency as data becomes more integrated into security solutions. Hideo Noguchi, CTO at i-PRO, noted that moving away from the one-size-fits-all model of security, AI-enabled video cameras will provide customised functionality for each organisation.
