IDIS to launch centralised AI-powered security monitoring

Dennis Choi, the General Manager of IDIS Middle East & Africa, examines the role of affordable surveillance and AI innovations in traffic detection.

Global security is essential for everyday life, from business to military and road security.

However, the affordability of gaining access to the most effective product on the market can have its challenges.

IDIS currently has over two million recorders installed and over 17 million cameras utilising IDIS technology worldwide.

Now, the solutions company is showcasing an extended range of IDIS’s multi-award-winning edge AI cameras, with nine new models that include 2MP domes and bullets and 5MP turrets.

Featuring Lightmaster NIR technology, the cameras will enable users to utilise superior night-time vision with weatherproofing capabilities.

With the addition of IDIS’s Deep Learning Analytics, the edge AI cameras provide faster and more accurate detection of objects, intrusion events, line crosses, and loitering detection.

As well as the 4MP AI PTZ that facilitates seamless AI-powered tracking over wide areas and long distances, other solutions, such as 2MP video intercoms and the IDIS Intelligent Wall Station (IWS) will be displayed.

The IWS allows for easy customisable displays, seamless compatibility with all IDIS products and integration and control of third-party cameras.

IDIS will also launch its parking guidance cameras, designed to support secure parking management and enhance the parking experience for drivers.

With features including three 5MP lenses, a 360-degree omnidirectional 12MP lens, and a built-in LED indicator, the cameras can simultaneously detect up to eight parking bays along with traffic corridors to facilitate efficient direction of vehicles to assigned spaces.

The cameras can be seamlessly integrated into parking payment systems using IDIS Solution Suite VMS.

The surveillance company will demonstrate its new product line-up at Intersec Dubai 2024, where visitors will see push-to-talk over cellular (POC) solutions integrated with the latest LTE radios and feature advanced functions.

Dennis Choi, General Manager, IDIS Middle East & Africa, said: “This will be one of our most significant showcase events of recent years, with exciting product launches and enhanced solutions innovations.

“Video technology is entering a new phase with the development of transformative AI and communications capabilities as well as demand for complete end-to-end solutions for a single manufacturer. IDIS will be showcasing its advances in all of these fields that will benefit our customers in new and exciting ways.”

IDIS will display its surveillance and AI innovations at Intersec, 16-18 January at stand S1 H25.
