16 Jan Intersec Awards 2026: Meet the winners

Khalid Mubarak of Dubai Municipality has won the prestigious H.H Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Emirati Rising Star Award at the Intersec Awards 2026, recognising his contributions to advancing safety and security standards in the UAE. The awards, now in their fifth edition, celebrated excellence across 17 categories during a gala dinner at the Conrad Dubai, with winners selected by an independent panel of 23 international judges.

In security-focused categories, Dubai Police received the Best Security Project – MEA award for its Lost Passport Certificate (Blockchain) initiative, which leverages blockchain to improve public service delivery, data integrity and cross-border security processes. Microavia won Best Perimeter Security Solution for its Drone-in-a-Box Surveillance Solution, providing autonomous aerial monitoring for large or remote sites. Axis Communications secured Best Commercial Security Solution with the AXIS D4200-VE Network Strobe Speaker, combining visual and audio alerts for enhanced response in commercial settings.

Other notable security winners included SWS Inntech Sdn. Bhd. and ONES Technology, who shared Best Homeland Security Solution for Automated Armory Solutions and BioAffix Gate Vision Mobile, respectively, strengthening weapons management and biometric border security. Resemble AI took Best Cybersecurity Solution for Resemble Detect, a platform detecting synthetic media amid AI-driven misinformation threats. Moataz Allami from Humain was named CISO of the Year for leadership in cybersecurity strategy and resilience.

WE ONE Security won Best Security Team, while WSP took Best HSE Team and Strategy in Consultancy for its advisory work in security and resilience planning. Albadr Jannah from Saudi Aramco was Industry Leader of the Year, and Jazyah Aldossary from the same company received the Women Trailblazers award.

The General Command of Dubai Civil Defence has won the Incident Resolution Spotlight award at Intersec Awards 2026 for its Drone Firefighting Unit, which improves situational awareness, response speed and firefighter safety in high-risk incidents. Held at the Conrad Dubai, the fifth edition of the awards recognised 17 categories of fire, safety and security excellence, judged by 23 international experts.

In fire and safety categories, Kentec Electronics and Hochiki Middle East shared Best Active Fire Safety Product for the K-Detect-Ion Detector and ACD Multi-Sensor with CO, respectively, advancing early detection reliability and reducing false alarms. CI Global took Best Passive Fire Safety Product for CI Safe, praised for robust passive protection against fire and smoke spread. WSP Middle East won Best Fire Safety Project – MEA for One Za’abeel – Skyward, setting benchmarks in fire engineering for complex developments.

Axis Communications received Best Safety Protection Solution for the AXIS D6210 Air Quality Sensor, monitoring indoor environments for healthier safety outcomes. Saudi Aramco‘s From Code to Clarity to Compliance initiative earned Impact Makers recognition for embedding safety culture enterprise-wide.
