Day Two of Intersec Dubai 2026 marked a significant milestone for the global safety, security, and resilience sector, with Messe Frankfurt Middle East officially unveiling Intersec Global.

This new unified international brand brings together the world’s leading security, safety, and resilience events under a single global platform.

Announced on Tuesday (13 January) during a press conference at Intersec 2026, the new brand is headquartered in Dubai and aligned with the UAE’s long-term national priorities. The launch was attended by senior representatives from government and industry, including Eng. Arif AlJanahi, Security Consultant at the Security Industry Regulatory Agency (SIRA), Lt. Col. Taher Hassan Al Taheri from The General Command of Dubai Civil Defence, and Eng. Khalid Al-Khatib, Chairman of NAFFCO.

Intersec Global represents the evolution of Intersec into a connected international ecosystem, designed to unite governments, regulators, industry leaders and innovators from around the world to help shape the future of safety, security and resilience.

The new Intersec Global platform will act as the flagship brand, strengthening collaboration across Messe Frankfurt’s expanding portfolio of security and safety events worldwide.

These include Intersec Buenos Aires, Intersec Europe, Intersec Saudi Arabia, Intersec Shanghai, Secutech Taipei, Secutech India, Secutech Vietnam, Secutech Thailand and the Adria Security Summit, creating a two-way flow of insights, innovation and regulatory thinking between regions.

Speaking at the launch, Ted Bloom, Chief Executive Officer of Messe Frankfurt Middle East, said the Intersec journey began nearly three decades ago in Dubai and has since grown into one of the world’s most influential platforms for security, safety and fire protection.

He added that Intersec Global reflects a truly international meeting point where governments, industry and innovators work side by side to address increasingly complex global challenges.

Alongside the conference programme, industry engagement continued beyond the show floor.

Security Middle East magazine hosted an exclusive networking dinner in Dubai on 12 January, ahead of Intersec 2026, bringing together professionals from across the fire and security sectors.

The evening provided an opportunity to reconnect with peers, strengthen relationships and share insights, building momentum ahead of the exhibition.

On the exhibition floor, leading security technology providers showcased their latest innovations.

Suprema presented its newest AI-powered access control hardware alongside a dual-platform strategy for on-premise and cloud-based access management solutions, while Genetec demonstrated its latest developments in unified physical security.

Fire safety remained in focus throughout Day Two, with exhibitors and delegates addressing the challenges most relevant to the Middle East, including data centre reliability, high-rise evacuation strategies, battery energy storage system (BESS) thermal runaway and the need for systems designed to perform in extreme environments.

Potter Global Technologies was among the companies showcasing solutions at Stand 3H22, following technical seminars held on Day One and ahead of an evening event for partners and customers in Downtown Dubai.

Industry engagement extended beyond the exhibition halls, with the Reacton Partner Power Lunch bringing together partners, consultants and engineers looking to expand their fire suppression offerings in the region.

Fire Middle East Magazine was also active across the show, with Rahul Vara meeting representatives from NAFFCO Group to discuss regional developments and market trends.

Ahead of the exhibition opening, Fire Middle East Magazine hosted an exclusive networking dinner in Dubai, bringing together professionals from across the fire, health and life safety sectors.

Intersec Dubai 2026 continues at Dubai World Trade Centre until 14 January.
