KASK safety helmets with internal shell is making waves

  • KASK has partnered with BASF to use Neopor® Ccycled® for safety helmets, reducing carbon footprint

KASK is enhancing worker safety while promoting sustainability by incorporating Neopor® Ccycled® from BASF into its helmet designs.

This material features a Product Carbon Footprint that is approximately 90 per cent lower than conventional Neopor®, thanks to the replacement of fossil feedstocks with pyrolysis oil derived from recycled post-consumer plastic waste.

KASK will utilise eco-friendly expandable polystyrene (EPS) to produce the internal shells for its Primero, Zenith X, and Superplasma helmet series, all of which meet the highest European and international safety standards.

The decision to use Neopor® Ccycled® was based on intensive performance tests, confirming its mechanical properties are on par with standard Neopor®.
