Kenya elected for the UN Security Council

Kenya’s capital Nairobi will now take a seat on the United Nations Security Council. Due to being successful Nairobi will sit alongside Tunisia, India, Niger, Ireland and Mexico. Kenya’s President Uhuru Kenyatta provided a 10 – point agenda which mentions peacekeeping and regional security. The agenda was supported by the African Union whilst President Kenyatta was campaigning for the seat.
