Kristian Hox joins IWMA Board pending member confirmation

  • Kristian Hox replaces Robert Mostad on the IWMA Board of Directors
  • Hox will serve on an interim basis until confirmation in October 2026
  • The IWMA thanked Mostad for his service since joining the board in 2023

The International Water Mist Association (IWMA) has announced a change to its Board of Directors following the departure of Robert Harley Mostad of RISE Norway. His colleague, Kristian Hox, will take over the board seat on an interim basis.

According to IWMA, its articles of association allow a member organisation to appoint an interim representative if their nominated board member leaves the company or institution. Hox, who also represents RISE Norway, will serve until a full confirmation vote is held at the next IWMA member meeting in October 2026. Voting rights will remain on hold until that time.

Speaking about his appointment, Kristian Hox said: “I have always believed that IWMA and its conferences play a significant role in advancing water mist technology. As a member of the Board of Directors, I aim to position IWMA as a driving force for innovation of water mist technology and elevating its global recognition as a sustainable solution for fire protection.”

Robert Mostad, who was elected to the IWMA board in 2023, steps down following his departure from RISE Norway. According to an IWMA press release the IWMA board “would like to thank him for his valuable input and contributions and wish him all the best for his private and professional future.”
