27 Sep New lightweight fire helmet launched

Bullard has introduced a brand new fire helmet to its product line-up in the form of the UST-LW helmet. It features an advanced fibreglass composite material which has shaved up to 300 grams of the weight of the helmet, depending on its specific configuration. At just 1.54kg it is one of the lightest fire helmets on the market.

Despite the weight reduction, the helmet still maintains the high standards of toughness, protection and safety that Bullard is known for. The helmet is available in a range of super matte colours: black, red, white and yellow.

The moulded nylon inner liner has a polyurethane foam thermal barrier which provides impact protection and resistance to internal heat rise. It meets and exceeds the NFPA 1971, Standard on Protective Ensemble for Structural Firefighting and Proximity Firefighting, Pertaining to Structural Fire Helmets.

The UST-LW also features a cotton ratchet cover, brow pad and ear/neck protector, designed with durability and cleanability in mind. A traditional leather option is also available. The U-Fit helmet headband system enables 36 different adjustment settings making it suitable for the widest range of head sizes.
