Rainham fire

Firefighters in east London were last night tackling a fire so large it produced smoke visible for miles around.More than 80 firefighters were sent to battle the flames at East Hall Lane in Rainham, Havering, after being called shortly before 8pm, the London Fire Brigade said.

In a tweet posted during the blaze, the Brigade said: “12 fire engines are currently tackling stack of pallets alight on East Hall Lane #Rainham.”
