Redline Fire Solutions, LLC has launched two products to address the threat of thermal runaway in lithium-ion batteries, an increasing fire hazard.

The newly introduced products, Thermal Stop and Thermal Shield, work in tandem to suppress, stabilise, and secure battery systems during and after fire incidents.

With lithium-ion batteries widely used in electric vehicles, consumer electronics, and energy storage systems, their failure can have catastrophic consequences. Traditional fire suppression methods, which often rely on vast quantities of water, have proven ineffective in combatting the violent chain reactions characteristic of thermal runaway.

Thermal Stop is a liquid agent designed to penetrate deeply into compromised battery cells, cooling them while chemically interrupting the runaway process. Once the fire is extinguished, Thermal Shield is applied- this gel-based barrier captures toxic gases, encapsulates hazardous materials, and significantly reduces the risk of reignition.

Both products are formulated with ingredients recognised by the EPA Safer Choice Programme, and have met the standards set by NFPA 18.

To facilitate effective distribution on a global scale, Redline Fire Solutions has appointed KnightTEK as the exclusive distributor worldwide.

“Lithium-ion fires are no longer rare. They’re in our homes, our streets, and our cities,” said Stephen Knight, CEO of KnightTEK. “Our partnership with Redline allows us to deliver not just a product, but a complete, field-tested system to first responders who urgently need better tools for this new class of fire.”
