The Security Executive Council (SEC) celebrated 20 years of research, knowledge sharing, and service to the security community.

Since its inception in 2005, the SEC has remained committed to its mission of helping security leaders succeed while advancing the overall corporate security profession.

Through its research arm, the Security Leadership Research Institute, the SEC has developed data- and evidence-based solutions that have transformed corporate security leaders and the programmes they manage.

Each year, the SEC serves as a trusted advisory firm for an average of 200 high-performing companies and security practitioners, leading and participating in hundreds of corporate security projects and engaging in thousands of conversations with security leaders. The SEC has formed partnerships with colleges, universities, security associations, and corporate security product vendors to enhance knowledge of risk-based practices and to consistently strive for excellence in the corporate security industry.

Additionally, SEC staff and faculty have authored over 50 books on research findings and successful practices, as well as hundreds of columns and articles.
