Teledyne Gas & Flame Detection (Teledyne GFD) has revealed its latest range of battery-powered methane detectors, the MethaSense series, in response to new methane emissions standards and reporting regulations.
This line includes three models: MethaSense, MethaSense XP, and MethaSense Trace, all featuring advanced non-dispersive infrared (NDIR) sensor technology for reliable methane detection.
The MethaSense model is designed for residential and commercial use, offering a compact, wireless solution with a detection range of 0-5 per cent volume.
With high selectivity and immunity to sensor poisoning, it aims to prevent gas-related incidents through immediate audible and visual alerts. Its integration with smart home technologies and 10+ years of battery life enhances safety and convenience.
MethaSense XP is specifically built for industrial applications, boasting a rugged design that withstands harsh environments while ensuring worker safety.
This model also supports various wireless communication options, maintaining reliable monitoring even in challenging conditions.
Completing the series, MethaSense Trace is tailored for leak detection and repair (LDAR) operations, providing comprehensive methane monitoring with exceptional sensitivity and an IP67 ingress protection rating for outdoor use.
The MethaSense series not only helps operators meet regulatory compliance but also reduces emissions and enhances operational efficiency, utilising cloud-based analytics for precise monitoring.
