09 Mar Two killed, security guard injured in Johannesburg shooting

Two people have been killed and another person injured in a shooting in the Johannesburg CBD. The injured person is thought to be a 50 year old security guard.

The circumstances surrounding the shooting remain unclear, with investigations ongoing.

Journalist Ross Campbell for ER24 was one of the media to arrive at the scene, who stated there were two adult males laid out with gunshot wounds.

He said: “Both showed no signs of life and were declared dead on arrival by both ER24 and another private service on-scene. The security guard was treated by ER24 paramedics for minor injuries and transported to hospital for further care – his vehicle is believed to have had a number of bullet holes.”
