12 Oct FINNOVEX Middle East to examine connected banking systems

Banking and fintech leaders will gather in Dubai next month to examine how financial institutions can connect digital services, data and technology systems as the sector looks towards 2027.

FINNOVEX Middle East 2026, Chapter 39, will take place on 10–11 November under the theme ‘Finance in Motion’. The event will bring together senior financial services executives and technology companies to discuss the practical challenges of digital transformation, from interoperability and data governance to operational resilience.

The speaker line-up includes executives from several major financial institutions, including Linoy Kidd, CIO, GBM MENAT at HSBC; Yan Bechet, COO at HSBC UAE; Daniele Coda, Chief Commercial Officer at RAKBANK; and Vladislavs Mironovs, Chief Digital Officer at Commercial Bank of Dubai.

Other speakers include Abdulla Al Taee, Chief Operating Officer at United Arab Bank; Abdullah Al-Awadi, Chief Strategy Officer at Kuwait International Bank; and Alberto Diez, Chief Operating Officer at Emirates Development Bank.

Rather than focusing solely on individual technologies, the programme will examine how different components of the financial ecosystem work together. This includes the connections between banks, fintech companies, payment networks and technology providers, and the impact these relationships can have on customer services and operational performance.

Artificial intelligence, digital payments, open finance and customer experience will form part of the wider discussion, with an emphasis on the infrastructure, controls and operating models needed to support their adoption.

The event will combine a conference and the FINNOVEX Awards on 10 November with executive roundtables the following day. The roundtables are intended to provide a more focused setting for financial services leaders to discuss implementation challenges and priorities.
